Dear Classmates:
We are very pleased to announce that the date for the Robert E. Peary High School Class of 1980 25th Reunion has now been set for Saturday, June 25, 2005. Our 25th Reunion represents a significant milestone in our lives and every attempt will be made to reunite our Class of 1980 Family so that we can ALL appreciate our roots and one another for who they were and who they are today. Future reunions will be planned, but the upcoming 25th Reunion is the DON’T MISS EVENT where we have the best chance of getting the majority of our class back together. Please read ahead for more details and special requests for your help and participation.
Thanks very much and we hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Robert E. Peary Class of 1980 Reunion Committee

We located the reunion in downtown Bethesda and blocked rooms at the Bethesda Park Clarion (Formerly the Four Points Sheraton) so that locals and out-of-towners can come and enjoy the reunion without having to worry about driving. Everything is within walking distance, so the suggested plan for the evening is to dine with friends at one of Bethesda’s Fine Restaurants before the reunion, walk to The Rose Room at BCCRS for the reunion, walk to one of Bethesda’s Night Spots after the reunion for a night cap, and walk back to the Bethesda Park Clarion for some rest or an all-night party in Terry Kernan’s hotel room. The night is truly ours!

We have created a dedicated Robert E. Peary Class of 1980 Website (http://www.pearyhs1980.org) to provide the latest Reunion & Class News, Classmate Search & Directory, Photo Album, and much more. This is just getting off the ground so please be sure check in regularly for the latest updates.
The Robert E. Peary High School Graduating Class of 1980 Missing Classmates List is attached and will also be updated and posted on our new website (http://www.pearyhs1980.org). All alumni on this list are considered missing with either partial or no contact information on file. As you can see, we have a long way to go in obtaining contact information for missing classmates and are requesting everyone’s help in completing our contact database. As a token of our appreciation for your help, we are offering FREE reunion admission to any classmate/s who provides updated contact information for ten (10) or more missing classmates. Please send your missing classmate contact information to Janet Peters at jpeters415@adelphia.net or submit through our website at http://www.pearyhs1980.org.
Pictures old and new are being collected for use in a reunion slide show and for our online photo album. Send photos (please keep to a reasonable number) of yourself or friends from high school. You may also include recent photos of 1980 grads with friends and family. Include information about the pictures (who, what, when) and names, ages, etc. You can easily convert paper photos to email photos. This service is available at some drugstores, camera stores, or through your local computer/photography expert. Send your photos to John Husband at jhusband@thermalsealexperts.com.
Bob Thompson has suggested the creation of a non-profit Robert E. Peary Class of 1980 Foundation to provide assistance, financial and support services to graduates of the Robert E. Peary High School Class of 1980 and their immediate families in times of need and sorrow. If created, the Foundation would solicit charitable (tax-deductible) donations from graduates of the Class of 1980 and all other interested parties to cover its operating costs and to provide financial and support services. More information will be available at the reunion. If interested in the mean time, please contact Bob at bob@netsys-america.com.
